Hydor Koralia Evolution
The Hydor Koralia Evolution powerheads are an improvement on the first generation of Koralia circulation pumps. Don’t get me wrong, the original product was excellent, but with a few upgrades the Evolution pumps set a new standard in aquarium water motion. A small footprint means they are less of a distraction in a reef aquarium. Increased efficiency and lower noise are major improvements of the Koralia EVO propeller pumps. The pumps are available in three sizes:
Koralia 750: 4.5 watts power, 750 gph, for aquariums 30-50 gallons (Koralia 2 Replacement)
Koralia 1050: 5 watts power, 1050 gph, for aquariums 45-70 gallons (Koralia 3 Replacement)
Koralia 1400: 6 watts power, 1400 gph, for aquariums 55-90 gallons (Koralia 4 Replacement)
The biggest noticeable difference between the EVO Koralias and the original powerheads is their reduced size. Koralia’s innovative combination magnet and suction cup mount features a built in silencer into the base for silent operation. One of the biggest engineering changes is the introduction of a shaftless propeller which reduces noise and frication and helps the EVO Koralias achieve amazing efficiency. All three models are controllable and can be connected to a controller or timer.
